External Diploma Program

Earn a Wallingford High School diploma independently, through the successful completion of a series of assignments.  You must demonstrate reading, writing, math and problem solving skills, as well as life-skill competencies needed to function as a literate thinking adult.  You will meet with an advisor weekly to help you reach your goals.  When all work is completed with 100% accuracy, your portfolio is reviewed by an assessor for verification.

Depending on your skill level at enrollment, and how much review of basic skills is needed, it takes most students from three to six months to complete the program.  EDP is recommended for those at least 21 years of age who have acquired some of the life skill experiences needed for successful completion of the program.
