Study the fundamentals of painting a country landscape using a photo reference. Students will learn about composition, materials, underpainting, values (light/dark), texture, and color theory. The instructor will demonstrate painting techniques and use of mediums. open to beginner and intermediate students. Drawing experience strongly recommended but not required. A list of supplies that the student will bring to class will be provided with your registration confirmation.

Consumable suply fee of $6.00 payable in cash to instructor at first class. The following supplies should be brought to the first class by the student: Acrylic Paints (not student grade) - Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red, Burnt Umber, Alizarin Crimson, Viridian Green, Cerulean Blue, Colalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna and Lemon Yellow, a small drawing pad (6x8) and natural coal for drawing, a portable easel or pochade box and a paint box liner pad, Acrylic Paint Brushes - Brights: 1 of each, size 2,8,10 bristle and 1 of each: size 2,8, 10 sable, a selection of Rounds or Filberts, sables: sizes 2,4,8 and paper towels or rag.
