Most of Tom’s teaching career was with the Department of Defense Overseas Schools in Europe and Asia. He worked as an ESL Specialist assigned to military dependent schools in Japan, Germany, England, and the Philippines.

Teaching in Army, Navy, and Air Force communities was an enjoyable experience. He has outstanding memories of his travels and making new friends with the local nationals and learning many traditional customs of their country by participating in local events, fests, and celebrations! The numerous opportunities to learn a new language were rewarding.

After thirty-seven years he decided to retire and return to Connecticut. Presently, he is residing in East Wallingford.
